RESIDENTIAL ACTIVITES
As we have numerous students boarding at the College from afar, Residential staff continually ensure students are cared for during and after school hours. This may include students being able to participate in local sports, gym, weekend shopping, movies trips, excursions and other activities. There are a number of events happening over the school year for students to be involved in.
BUSSELTON CAMP
Each year Residential staff are hoping for a beautiful sunny weekend when they can take students on a camp to Busselton. Students spend a couple of days at the beach, fishing and canoeing. This weekend is a great opportunity for new and old students to get to know one another at the start of the year.
WACoA CARNIVAL
Each year Harvey Ag College plays host to the Annual WACoA Carnival. Four other Agricultural Colleges from around the state converge on Harvey with a large group of students, to play in a number of sports ranging from basketball, squash, volleyball, netball, lawn bowls, fishing, ten pin bowling, indoor cricket and other sporting activities. The weekend is designed for all the Ag Colleges to get together and participate in a friendly and competitive manner.
COUNTRYWEEK
Like many other schools from around the state, Harvey Ag students participate in Country Week at the end of Term 2 in Perth. Depending on numbers and sports available, Residential staff with the support of staff from the College supervise and coach students in their elected sports for the week.
COLLEGE BALL
The students at the College have the opportunity to dress up for the Annual College Ball. The Ball committee and Admin staff organise this prestigious event to make it a night to remember for students of all years.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Students are also involved in the sporting activities such as football, netball, indoor cricket and basketball which are held during the year either by the College or town sporting clubs.
Students also have access to a music room at the College and art/craft classes during prep.
In addition, residential and other staff members may decide to take students on weekend activities away from the College. Some of these past activities have included fishing trips, Skippers Ticket, shopping, movies and BBQs.
